Healthy Snickers

This is my absolute favourite treat to make. It hits every time and actually satisfies your cravings.


With dates having a low to medium glycemic index, dark chocolate not causing blood sugar spikes and nuts helping to reduce blood sugar spikes, this is genuinely my favourite sweet treat to have in the house.


You just need:

Dates

Good quality crunchy peanut butter

Good quality dark chocolate

Salt

Method:

  1. De-pip your dates and lay them flat on some grease-proof paper.

  2. Fold over the grease-proof paper so there's a layer on top and use a rolling pin to flatten the dates.

  3. Once flattened, gently peel back the paper.

  4. Smother your peanut butter all over your dates.

  5. Melt your dark chocolate and pour on top.

  6. Sprinkle on some sea salt

  7. Pop in the fridge to cool


I don't know anyone who doesn't like this recipe, it's a must try if you haven't already!
